On December 14 and 15, 2022 the kick-off meeting of the PAINT THE CHANGE project was held in Ankara.
The project leader Gruppo Phoenix and the Spanish partners, Red Sanamente, met for the first time the Ankara Aile partners that complete the partnership, to make the formal presentation of the project to the press.
The partners discussed about the reality of their entities and legal and infrastructural frameworks for working around the inclusion of people with mental health problems and mental illness.
Each partner made a presentation about themselves, and a discussion and exchange of knowledge led to very interesting contributions to each other.
The main timetable and provisions for the implementation of the project were also approved, so the actual work plan started.
The partners met Bekir Koçyiğit, Ankara Provincial Director of Social and Family Services and also had the opportunity to visit one of the main facilities in Ankara for people with disabilities and functional diversity, where Art Therapy is being used in their day to day life.
After the protocol meetings, there was also time to get to know the capital, the tasty Turkish food and gastronomy and the favorite of all the members: the city’s hammams.
